Building fluency through game play is a hallmark of the Brain Friendly Reading™ program. BFR™ games encourage children to read sets of words over and over. Research has shown that reading words 4-5 times is the most effective way for children to store words into long-term memory (struggling and dyslexic readers may need 40-200 repetitions). This resource features prepared board games that are aligned with the BFR™ curriculum as well as a blank game board so children can create their own games by writing words they are learning.
