Reading is a legally recognized fundamental human right.
When we teach children to read, we literally change the entire trajectory of their lives by opening doors to opportunities.
Let’s act now and help them open the doors to education, employment, and health.
Brain Friendly Reading Mission and Vision
The science of reading is clear. A convergence of the brain research unequivocally points us toward structured literacy. Would you like those numbers in your school?
Listen to Cameron offer advice to other children about what to do if they are finding reading challenging.
In this 23-minute video you can get an overview of what we are talking about when we use the words "Science of Reading" and "Structured Literacy."
Using this strategy alongside chart tapping is a game changer for struggling readers. It's so simple it can be incorporated into any reading program and provides for phonemic awareness, phonemic segmentation and blending. 3-min. video
