Helping you to learn how to help children read.

Non-Profits

Fun, Engaging, Effective Curriculum

The goal is to help children grow their reading abilities using brain friendly. evidence based techniques.    Our systematic phonics program uses a multi-sensory approach that is essential for struggling readers and children with dyslexic characteristics while also developing the reading and spelling skills of all children.

Children Want to Do More

Children engaged in play learn more quickly.   The hallmark of our elementary program is the wide variety of easy-to-learn and fun-to-play reading games that are targeted to meet the specific skills needed for struggling readers.

Volunteers Feel Successful

People want to help.  The keep helping when the time they spend with children is rewarding.  The BFR volunteer program is easy to learn and fun to implement, keeping volunteers and children coming back again and again.

Curriculum Materials

BFR provides all the necessary materials, games, sound charts, and handouts.  The program is sequential and organized so volunteers have what they  need when they need it.

Volunteer Training

BFR trains your volunteers to become effective tutors in a few hours.  Afterward, online videos and support material will be at their fingertips to learn more games and more strategies as they grow their tutoring skills over time.  Children love variety and so do volunteer tutors.   On-going education can keep tutors engaged in the learning process right along with their students.

On-Going Support

Our goal is for your non-profit to be successful in their endeavors to help children.  We are committed to supporting you and your volunteers from program conception, through implementation and beyond.  Our additional services can include screening children for placement, matching children with tutors, running tutoring centers with a trained staff person on-site to answer immediate questions, and assistance in developing content for marketing materials (how to describe the program to volunteers and parents).  We also conduct parent education workshops so the learning and fun can continue at home.
