BFR Card Decks include at least two sets of cards for each BFR lesson. One deck has a single word on each card. The second has two or more words or a short phrase, giving you built-in variety for practice.
A single card deck can be used to play Go Fish, Memory/Concentration, and Tic-Tac-Toe. These games invite cooperation and help take the pressure off reading.
Playing together builds social skills while giving your child lots of chances to practice words that share the same patterns. This helps the brain learn to recognize them naturally, through play!
The goal is simple: play the same game over and over until your child reads the words with ease. That might take days, weeks, or even months and that’s completely okay. Just play!
💡 No printer needed! Just write the words on scraps of paper cut into squares. Simple, low-cost, and just as effective.
